Olympus E-450 DSLR review : With the arrival of the Olympus E-450, the assortment of FourThirds DSLR cameras is enhanced once more. The Olympus E-450 is the successor to the E-420 and takes over the lead of being one of the world's most compact DSLR cameras. This fight is literally battled out over millimeters and milligrams and the competition is killing. Olympus is facing brands like Canon,...

The Olympus E-P1 is a compact camera with a DSLR-sized sensor and removeable lenses. It's the first Olympus camera to employ the Micro Four Thirds standard the company jointly developed with Panasonic. Unlike the modern style of Panasonic's Micro Four Thirds models though, Olympus has adopted the unashamedly retro-styling of its classic PEN film camera range. In our Olympus E-P1 review w...

The Olympus E-P1 is--by far--the smallest video-capable camera on the market that offers an interchangeable lens system. The E-P1 isn't technically a DSLR camera, as it uses the Micro Four Thirds lens system that was jointly developed by Panasonic and Olympus in 2008. Along with its compact design, the E-P1 also has 1280 x 720 HD video capability, a live auto focus feature, and a basic set o...

For my recent New York trip, I brought two cameras: the Canon 5D Mark II and the Olympus E-P1. For the first three days, I shot exclusively with the 5D2. I was working at PhotoPlus Expo for Lowepro. I needed to take photos in the booth of photographer activities, and the 5D2 with the 24-105 zoom worked great. All images by Derrick Story, captured with an Olympus E-P1 with a 17mm f/2.8 lens. High I...

Olympus has today announced its second Micro Four Thirds-system digital camera, the E-P2 - and we've just posted our Olympus P2 hands-on preview. The Olympus E-P2 is closely related to its predecessor, the popular Olympus P1 - a camera we recently reviewed. The most significant change is the addition of an accessory port underneath the flash strobe, which is used to provide for accessories in...

Olympus E-P2: Flashier than the E-P1, But Still No Flash If there's one wonderful thing about the newly announced Olympus E-P2, it's that it will probably make the E-P1 cheaper. If there are two or more wonderful things...well, read on. The Olympus E-P2 is less a sequel to the E-P1 micro four thirds camera and more a refinement of the original idea. It's basically the same size as the E-P1 (a hair taller, actually), and snaps shots with t...
